LAWN CUTTING & LINE TRIMMING
Sharp blades, clean equipment, and proper technical practises maintain your grass at a healthy length of 2.5-3 inches. We first trim edges and around objects, tidying up debris as we go, then follow by mowing in beautiful straight lines and finish by blowing or sweeping off hard surfaces. Same day, Same time, as much as possible given the weather. We only ask that you please clean up messes such as children’s toys or animal droppings before we arrive and keep pets and children indoors as we work. There will be an extra charge of $10-20 per visit for excessive amounts of cleanup. Importantly, we do charge extra to bag and take away the debris… we are strong believers here in GOING BAGLESS. Diverting waste away from landfills is a responsible action in todays world, and what’s more it leaves healthy nutrients that break down and feed your turf. Don’t worry about chunks of dead grass left on the lawn, we always use our blowers to scatter any such debris.
FERTILIZING & WEED CONTROL PROGRAMS
After making sure your turf is regularly mowed and watered, the most important thing to keeping it green and healthy is making sure it has the nutrients it needs. We offer a selection of granular and liquid fertilizers to suit most every need and budget. Quick release high nitrogen fertilizers give your lawn the quick green up in the spring that everyone desires, and through the summer we keep it green and healthy with slow release liquid or granular fertilizers with a broader spectrum of nutrients. This will ensure the long lasting health of the plant.

BED MAINTENANCE
This service is offered on a seasonal basis and will include a spring and fall bed cleanup. We will remove weeds; rake and remove dead plant material, leaves, and debris; cultivate soil where applicable; prune perennials, shrubs, and trees under 15 feet tall; shear hedges monthly; cut back perennials in the fall; maintain bed edges; and generally keep your garden and landscaping tidy looking. We also offer additional horticultural services: planting perennials, annuals, planters, shrubs and trees; adding and amending soils; mulching and topping up mulch materials; removing plants, trees, and stumps; fertilizing plants and trees; as well as landscape and garden installations.
LAWN REPAIR
We will apply a blend of composted organic material, sand, and soil to a depth of ¼-1/2 inch to your lawn, rake and brush it into the grass, and then overseed with prairie magic grass seed blend at a rate of 5 lbs. per 1000 sq ft as well as a high-phosphorus seed-starting fertilizer, finally re-raking and rolling it to ensure good soil to seed contact. Slowly delivering natural nutrients- the best kind- to the soil and well as gradually improving its structure, this is best performed as part of a lawn renewal/ renovation that will include power raking, cutting, deep core aeration, and weed control.

LEAF REMOVAL & FALL CLEANUP
Our teams will blow out and collect leaves and dead plant material from beds and landscaping. We will leave curbside for collection or for our own haul away service. Upon request we can add a final lawn cut and line edging, fall aeration and fertilizing, and perennial bed cleanup are available upon request.
DEEP CORE AERATION
This service will remove 8-16 three-inch long cores of soil per square foot. This immediately relieves soil compaction allowing grass roots to spread throughout soil, as well as allowing water, oxygen, and nutrients to penetrate more deeply and access the roots. Ultimately this will create stronger turf more able to withstand heat, drought and pest infestation. We recommend leaving the cores to break down on the surface as this will act as a beneficial top dressing that prevents thatch build up and leave behind beneficial minerals. It should be done at least once per year and twice for high traffic turf or those with poor soil bases.

POWER RAKE
More properly referred to as “Dethatching,” this service will remove the excess of a layer of dead plant material- “Thatch”- that builds up between the soil and the grass. While a half-inch of this layer is desirable and healthy for the lawn as it provides a cushioning and protective layer to the crown of the grass, an excess will prevent the grass roots from reaching and/or deeply penetrating the soil. It will also provide a hospitable environment for pests and fungi. We will remove thatch and moss to an acceptable depth, hand rake or vacuum up the plant material, and bag and haul it from the site. This service does not include cutting and line trimming.
